Las Vegas Health - Safety
Safety
Las Vegas is not considered a safe city. Petty crime is always an issue for tourists, and local murders, rapes and home invasions are well above average. Las Vegas can be safe if you follow security procedures in hotels, as well as in other tourist areas. There’s so much money floating around the city, petty thieves make a nice living scamming unsuspecting tourists, so use hotel safes and carry your cash in a money belt or leg pouch that is out of sight and secure, and don’t forget to use common sense.
