Where to Stay In France

France is known for its gorgeous as well as expensive hotels, but there are other hotels that are reasonably priced and beautifully decorated. No matter where you stay in France you’ll find a lively and happening atmosphere that only the French can provide.

There are so many small places to stay in France it's hard not to find accommodations that suit personal preferences. Here are some of our favorite places to stay:

  • Le General Hotel in the Opera Bastille neighborhood of Paris. It’s a three star moderately priced, forty-seven room hotel located on Rue Rampon. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are clean.
  • The Hotel des Academies et des Arts is a twenty room hotel in the St-Germain/Luxembourg neighborhood of Paris. It is a modern boutique hotel that still has touches of the 1930s in its décor. The Left bank décor and the living-room type lobby make it a wonderful place to stay.
  • 1835 White Palm Hotel located on Boulevard Jean Hibert in Cannes has one hundred and thirty four rooms. It is decorated in a contemporary cosmopolitan style with state-of-the-art electronics in each room. The rooms look out at the sea or over the old port and the rooftop terrace offers a three hundred and sixty degree panoramic view.
  • Hotel de Bourgtheroulde in Rouen, Normandy has seventy-eight rooms in a 16th century building. The rooms are filled with traditional styles as well as modern amenities.
  • Ostape in Bidarrey has twenty-two rooms in an 18th century manor house. All the rooms have living rooms and terraces with views of the valleys and mountains that surround the estate.
