England Weather

England Weather (Climate), England Travel Guide and Tourist Information

The number one topic in England is the weather. Even Englishmen who meet for the first time talk about the rain or a beam of sunshine.

Weather reports are the third most watched TV shows in the country. The gray and the cold play an important role in local folklore and ancient traditions. English weather is talked about around the world and for good reason; it rains a lot. It doesn’t snow very often but when it does the country comes to a halt since the English rail system and the motorways are finicky when it comes to even the slightest snow shower. The best time to visit England is spring; it’s cold and wet in winter and hot and sticky in summer. Fall is another good time to visit. There tends to be more sunshine in fall, but most people like the birth of spring and usually plan a trip to England in April, May, or early June.
