Puerto Rico is considered one of the safest tourist destinations anywhere in the world. There is a little petty crime, so leave most of your bling jewelry at home, you won’t need it on the beach. If you use hotel safes and basic common sense, PR is extremely safe, even when you go clubbing at night.

The health standards in PR are excellent. There are hospitals in every city and the doctor to patient ratio is very high.
