Is Morocco Safe?

Most of the reports written about safety in Morocco say it’s a relatively safe country. There are still pickpockets in the cities, but it’s easy to hire a guide if you’re in Marrakech or Casablanca so you can travel safely around those cities, but it’s not necessary. Women feel safe traveling through Morocco alone, but common sense should always be used no matter where you go, so it always best to travel with someone or in a group. Violent crime is low in Morocco; there was a terrorist attack in 2003, but the country is now considered safe, except for the Western Sahara region where landmines can be a problem.
