A trip to the outback is a must in order to truly experience the beauty and the mystical ambience of the country. Silver City is nearby. It was once the largest zinc, lead and silver producing areas in the world. Glen Helen Gorge in the Northern Territory is a great place to pitch a tent by the cool waterhole of the gorge, which is home for nine different species of fish from Finke River. Kununurra in the Western area has 350 million year old ridges and it’s the area where pink diamonds can be found. Lake Argyle is also in the area; local rodeos, outback horse racing and delicious mud crab dinners make this region a diverse and unforgettable adventure. The Murray River in Victoria is filled with unbelievable scenery, award-winning restaurants, famous vineyards and the Willandra Lakes. Visitors can enjoy a hot air balloon ride or go four wheeling around the rugged terrain and explore the Aboriginal way of life that hasn’t changed for centuries.
