Airport security, baggage and counter check-in issues, extra charges, and the weather are forcing people to arrive early and stay longer. The waiting and inconvenience can be boring as well as annoying. Airports around the world now have art galleries worth seeing and the concept has been accepted and applauded by weary travelers who are stuck in an airport terminal and have nothing to do except stare at the tarmac.
