Dominican Republic Weather (Climate Info), Dominican Republic Travel Guide and Online Tourist Information
The Dominican, like all the other islands in the Greater Antilles, enjoys a tropical climate. Daytime temperatures stay around 80 degrees all year long, but the mountain temperature usually stays in the mid 60s. It never dips below 32 degrees in January or February in the mountains, but some snow can accumulate on the mountain tops. November through January is the rainy season along the coast, but other parts of the country have rain May through November.
The average rainfall is around fifty nine inches, but some areas may only see fourteen inches a year. Hurricanes and tropical cyclones frequently hit the country between August and October.
